American tech behemoth Apple is just a month away from unveiling its iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features, and powered by its most advanced servers, reported Bloomberg Thursday.

The report stated that the iPhone maker is putting high-end chips —designed for the Mac — in cloud-computing servers designed to power advanced AI tasks incorporated into the Apple devices.

The simple features powered by AI will be processed directly on iPhones, iPads, and Macs, the report quoted citing sources.

The publication also noted that the first AI-focused chip will be the M2 Ultra, which is currently powering the Mac Pro and Mac Studio.

Days earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is utilising in-house resources to compete with the fierce global AI rivals.

CFO Luca Maestri said: "We have our own data center capacity, and then we use capacity from third parties. It’s a model that has worked well for us historically, and we plan to continue along the same lines going forward."

Equipping its products with Apple silicon is a strong edge the tech giant has had since the Mac’s M1 chip was announced in 2020.

Toeing the same line, with the same powerful team to create AI-focused data centres may translate a huge success for the Cupertino-based company over its competitors.
